  • Only students admitted to one of the 100% online MBA programs have the opportunity to register for CoB Internet based coursework during the first two weeks of early registration. Beginning the third week of early registration, all other students may register for Internet based classes.
  • Students admitted to a 100% online program may not enroll in any face-to-face coursework. Online students that enroll in campus course will be removed from the online program permanently and forfeit the earlier registration period for online classes. Probation/Suspension

  • Students are required to maintain a cumulative 3.0 graduate GPA.
  • Students will be placed on probation if their cumulative graduate GPA falls below 3.0 and the Graduate Programs Office will implement a registration block.
  • Students on probation may NOT participate in early registration.
  • Raising the cumulative graduate GPA to the required minimum will remove the probation status.
  • Students will remain on probation and be allowed to continue taking courses as long as they achieve a 3.0 semester GPA for all subsequent semesters until their cumulative graduate GPA reaches 3.0.
  • Students already on probation will be placed on academic suspension for one semester if the GPA in a successive semester falls below 3.0.
  • A second suspension will result in dismissal from the program. A student may reapply after three (3) years.
  • Students cannot apply for graduation while on probation. A 3.0 cumulative graduate GPA is required to graduate.

Retention

  • Students may not graduate with more than two grades of “C” in their core and/or concentration courses, or with any grades of “D” or “F”.
  • If three (3) grades of “C” have been earned, at least one course must be duplicated with a grade of “B” or better.
    • Duplication forms must be completed and turned in to the Registrar’s Office.
  • If a student receives two (2) course grades below “C” (for the purposes of this rule, the lowest grade received in a course is always used, regardless of duplication), the student will be dismissed from the program.

Special Problems Courses (5900/5910 Courses)

  • Credit will not be given for 4XXX level courses unless taken under a 5900 designation.
  • A maximum of 6 to 9 hours may be credited, with no more than 6 hours of 5910 courses.

  • International students must enroll in the mandatory hours required of their visa.
  • After the 12th class day, a course will not be changed to a 5900/5910 designation.

  • Work-related activities may enhance the course, but cannot be a major component. The course must be self-supporting, regardless of a work module.
  • Projects, examinations, quizzes, homework, etc. are expected to comprise the major aspects of the course.
  • On a case-by-case basis, 5900/5910 coursework may substitute for a required course not being offered the semester immediately before a student graduates. It may also substitute if there are other sufficient educational circumstances to warrant doing so.
  • These courses will not be allowed to substitute for 5800 internship or cooperative education courses.
