Significant milestones for the UNT Jazz program. 70th anniversary—oldest jazz program on the planet. 50 years of annual lab band recordings (1967–2017) with this year's Lab 2017. 30 years since we've released a vinyl LP (Lab '87). We will offer a limited edition collector's double-LP of Lab 2017. Also the first Lab album for director Alan Baylock. Meanwhile, the new Legacy—Neil Slater at North Texas boxed set releases at the Lab Band Madness concert this week. Perseverance—The Music of Rich DeRosa is now available also. Watch this Fall for the Jim Riggs and Jay Saunders Best of the Two CD compilations. Big stuff! I hope all of you fans of North Texas Jazz are as stoked about these projects as we are!

This week's "One-derful Wednesday" clip is a video tribute to former One O'Clock director, Neil Slater. An epic 4-cd box set of Neil's music will be released on May 1st! Special thanks to Lab Band Manager Craig Marshall for making it all happen!
