William E. Moen, Ph.D.
DirectorDr. Moen joined the McNair Program on April 1, 2015. He oversees the day-to-day operations of the program and works with the staff to ensure the success of our scholars. He received his Ph.D. in Information Science from Syracuse University and is a member of faculty in the Department of Library and Information Sciences. He began working at UNT in 1996.

Rosa Fonseca
Program AdvisorThe current scholar adviser is a former participant in both the McNair Scholar Program and Student Support Services. The first in her family to attend college, Rosa has a B.A. in Political Science from UNT and is currently in the Political Science master’s program, where she is studying international relations and comparative politics.

Kristina Rodriguez
Program AssistantKristina is a McNair alumna and is the first person in her family to hold a college degree. She has a B.A. in Psychology from St. Edward’s University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in child and family studies at UNT.

Bashir Abdullah
Program AssistantBashir has been a part of the TRIO family since 2007 volunteering with Student Support Services, UB, and McNair. He is a McNair alumnus of the University of Central Oklahoma where he received a B.A. in psychology. He is currently in a Ph.D. program in counseling psychology focusing on military families, addictions, and substance abuse.
