IELI Programs

Academic English at IELI
The IELI Academic English Program offers English courses designed to prepare international students for academic success at a university. The program consists of 7 levels (0-6) and is offered 5 times per year. Each term lasts for 8 weeks and gives students 23 hours of English instruction each week from our highly qualified instructors. This program is ideal for students who want to study at the University of North Texas or at another university within the United States. Click here for more information.

Pathway Programs
IELI has partnered with colleges at the University of North Texas (UNT) to offer pathway programs to two departments. These programs offer conditional admission to UNT while students finish their final term at IELI. Click on the following links to learn more about each program:

IELI Collaborations
Since its establishment in 1977, IELI has proudly worked with many international institutions to provide the highest quality services for learning academic English. These programs have included teaching and training both abroad and here in Denton. Click here for a full list of programs.

Fast Track to UNT
To help students get started sooner at UNT, IELI now offers the course, “Fast Track to the University of North Texas.” This course is designed to get students through Levels 5 and 6 in ten weeks in summer so they meet the English proficiency requirement. Students participate in 25 hours of class and 10 hours of guided work each week so they can begin their undergraduate or graduate studies in the fall at UNT.
