Faculty and staff should be aware of more traffic than usual as area high schools host graduation ceremonies June 4-11.

The theme of relationships will be featured in a June 21 exhibition at the Perot Museum. John Ruiz, assistant professor of psychology, will present a display on how marriage affects health.

Ram Dantu, professor of computer science and engineering, has created software that uses smart phone technology so 9-1-1 operations are virtually at the scene of the emergency. He will present his research at the National Emergency Number Association Conference June 15–20.

The end zone bleachers and east concourse will be removed, with the west concourse and press box remaining for track and field activities.

A dozen artists are featured in the show called Intersections: Collaborative Inquiries in Painting, which will run from June 13 to July 17 at UNT on the Square.

A portion of Lot 5, located east of Chestnut Hall of Chestnut will be closed for construction from June 15 to July 15 for construction of the new University Bookstore.

The reception will take place June 17 for Sewell, who has served as vice president for Research and Economic Development.

His work, which included serving as UNT System’s first full-time chancellor, spanned 22 years at UNT. Local services will be announced by the family at a later date.

Summer Fun in the Planetarium features shows aimed at children in the first through fourth grades.

Donations from faculty and staff increased 16 percent from last year, with just over $151,000 qualifying for matching funds from President V. Lane Rawlins.
