What are the minimum GPA requirements for admission?

For graduate programs (doctoral or master's): See the Toulouse Graduate School website and the specific COI academic program for complete details, but the minimum GPA requirement for UNT consideration are:

  • 2.8 GPA or higher on your undergraduate degree OR
  • 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of your undergraduate degree OR
  • 3.4 GPA on a completed master’s degree.

Applying to the College of Information is a two-step process:

  1. Apply to UNT: Apply online to the University of North Texas (UNT). The UNT Admissions page provides further details, depending on whether you are an undergraduate, graduate, transfer, and/or international student. 
  2. Apply to COI: Apply to the specific academic program within the College of Information. Additional required application materials may include personal statements, letters of intent, letters of recommendation and samples of scholarly writing. Visit the website for the specific Academic Program you're interested in for further details.
