Erratic notifications.
Messenger continues to do an incredibly poor job with notifications, and the last update only made it worse. I've made sure every notification is turned on, and yet with some people I still never get their notifications unless I actually open the app and manually refresh it. This is incredibly annoying when I'm trying to message my husband while he's deployed and I'm not getting his messages. Thanks Facebook. Once again you've let me down and showed me how poor your app development is.
Easy to use!
I like the fact that you can use messenger to contact people who you may or may not have in your phone contacts. That way if you find someone on Facebook that you'd like to reach out to, you can message them anytime, anywhere.

I love this app fast easy way to keep in touch with friends and family and basically can have free txting asking as your in wifi area you can even call send pics and small 15 sec clips ❤️❤️❤️❤️
