NORTHFIELD — Democratic candidate for governor Matt Dunne will speak at a town hall-style meeting at Norwich University Thursday.

The event will run from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Cabot Science Room 85.

According to a news release, the school is hosting “Vermont’s Tomorrow,” a series of open forums with gubernatorial candidates which began on March 3 with Democratic candidate Sue Minter.

The hourlong forums are produced and moderated by Norwich students in the College of Liberal Arts. These events are open to the public and will be broadcast and livestreamed, through Norwich’s radio station, WNUB at 88.3 FM.

The focus of the forums is for Norwich students to ask candidates’ questions on issues most critical to them, according to the release. Those issues range from jobs in Vermont and the Vermont economy to climate change, education and health care reform.

Republican candidate Lt. Gov. Phil Scott will give a similar talk at the school on April 1, and Republican candidate Bruce Lisman will be there on April 28.
