After a longer negotiating delay than in previous Georgia-Florida game contract extensions, the city of Jacksonville and the two schools came to terms on a new five-year deal with two important provisions: more money in the schools’ pockets and an agreement to renegotiate much sooner in the process.
It took the fifth session of this week's SEC Women's Basketball Tournament before Jacksonville got knocked off the top spot when it comes to crowds at SEC tournaments held under the current 14-team format that began in 2013.
