Search for Milwaukie fishermen suspended

A search for a Milwaukie fisherman swept away in the Sandy River has been suspended until next week due to weather. Joseph Arnold Deseranno, 18, has been missing since Monday and is presumed drowned, said Lt. James Rhodes, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office spokesman.  Full story »

Tualatin police ask for help finding man suspected of burglary, assault

About 2 a.m. on Jan. 5, the 38-year-old suspect, Kristopher Casey Basta, of Tualatin, entered a resident on Southwest Sagert and assaulted a man sleeping inside, according to the Tualatin Police Department. The victim is reportedly known to Basta.  Full story »

Employee error costs Oregon City $800,000 in uncollected fees from homebuilders

A city employee failed to update the computer system that calculates how much builders pay for permits. The goof didn't affect all fees, just those known as transportation systems development charges. The city will collect less than $300,000 of the $800,000 it is owed since the increase went into effect four years ago.  Full story »

Clackamas County commissioners approve Easton Ridge funding plan, plus audit of Housing Authority management

The bill is to designate Aug. 9 as Boring and Dull Day, which sounds like an anti-climactic holiday. But, the “twinning” of Dull, a village in the Perthshire area of Scotland, and Boring, the unincorporated Clackamas County community that often spurs jokes about its liveliness, created an international stir when it was first proposed in April 2012. Full story »
