Child-only TANF assistance cases
were served in an average month in FY 2011. Forty-six percent of all TANF assistance cases are considered “child only.” In these cases, only the children of a household receive TANF assistance designed to meet their ongoing basic needs. Read more in the most recent TANF Report to Congress.
