Interactive Driving Simulations

Learn about challenging driving situations in a safe and fun environment

Practicing driving situations is a great way to gain confidence and understanding of today’s complex driving environment. AARP Driver Safety has collaborated with LifeLong Driver to provide six driving simulations for you to “practice” online.

These six driving simulations provide the opportunity to learn about challenging driving situations in a safe and fun environment. Each simulation allows you to make decisions while “behind the wheel” and learn how to improve your driving from your decisions.

Simulations Available

Hazard Detection: Navigate busy streets and parking lots and identify potential hazards as you drive.

Roundabouts: Practice safely merging into roundabouts with traffic.

Visual Search: Identify other vehicles and pedestrians and their location on the road.

Lane Change: Initiate a safe lane change by monitoring mirrors and blind spots

Left Turns With Oncoming Traffic: Make a safe left turn from a turn lane by gauging oncoming traffic.

Turns With Two-Way Traffic: Turn onto roads with traffic coming from both the left and right.

*You can also find all of these answers by reviewing your state’s official driver’s manual, which can be found on your state’s motor vehicles website. But that’s not as much fun!
