Grants

A grant is a type of financial aid based on financial need that the student does not have to repay. At UNTHSC, grants are awarded on a first-come first-serve basis to students with the most need and may include:

  • TPEG Resident or TPEG Non-Resident (Texas Public Education Grant)

    • limited funds available- awards are first-come, first-serve
    • must have exceptional need
    • must enroll at least half-time
    • must meet Financial Aid SAP

  • UNTHSC Tuition Grant

    • must be a Texas Resident
    • limited funds available- awards are first-come, first-serve
    • must have exceptional need
    • must enroll at least half-time
    • must meet Financial Aid SAP

You are automatically considered for grants when you submit your FAFSA and are admitted to UNTHSC.  Texas residents who are non-U.S. citizens can submit a TASFA.  Funds are limited, so APPLY EARLY.
