Get a Library Card

    Free for All New Yorkers

    Cards are free for anyone who lives, works, attends school, or pays property tax in New York State. Out-of-state visitors can apply for a temporary card.

Manage Your Library Card

  • Fines & Fees

    Learn about fines and fees for overdue materials. Fines can be paid at any library location, by mail, or online.
  • Replace a Lost or Stolen Card

    If your card is lost or stolen, inform the Library immediately. Call, email, or visit a branch near you.
  • Forgot Your PIN?

    Reset your four digit PIN via email or visit a location near you.
  • Renew Your Card

    Library cards must be renewed in person every three years. Find out how.
