Tucker Ferguson, P.E., is the district engineer for TxDOT's Beaumont District.

He oversees all engineering operations in the following counties: Chambers, Hardin, Jasper, Jefferson, Liberty, Newton, Orange and Tyler.

Tucker has more than 22 years of transportation engineering experience. He has served the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) since 1991. From 2009 to 2011, he was a district executive (engineer). In that role, Tucker served as the engineering, professional and administrative leader for an eight-county district in south-central Pennsylvania.

Previously, he served the PennDOT as a director of the Bureau of Construction and Materials, chief of the Contract Management Division and New Technology Implementation Section manager.

Prior to joining PennDOT, he worked as a civil engineer for two Pennsylvania private-sector firms. Tucker earned his professional engineer license in 1994. He received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology from the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown in 1988.
