The scope of this study is business 288B from Henderson Road to Wilkins Street.

Current Conditions

Currently, the roadway contains four 12-foot lanes, 10-foot outside shoulders, and a continuous 16-foot wide center turn lane. The corridor also has an open drainage ditch system.

Proposed Improvements

The proposed project includes:

• Construct a 14-foot wide raised median between Henderson Road and Wilkins Street
• Replacement of the existing continuous left turn lane with a raised median and dedicated left turn bays at select intersections
• Widen existing BS 288B by approximately 5 feet from Lorraine Drive to approximately 400 feet north of Lorraine Drive to extend a merging lane for northbound traffic

No additional right-of-way is needed.
