TxDOT is proposing improvements to US 281 (Military Highway) between FM 3248 (Alton Gloor Boulevard) and FM 1421 to enhance safety and mobility.

The proposed project includes:

• Expanding the existing road from a two-lane road to a four-lane road with a continuous center turn lane
• Constructing left and right turn lanes at intersections

The proposed project would require about 2.8 acres of additional right of way and is just over 5 miles long.
