Study Description

The Texas Department of Transportation is proposing improving I-35 between North Flores and New Braunfels Avenue and between AT&T Parkway and Binz-Engleman Road.

The proposed project includes:

• Adding auxiliary lanes
  
• Making ramp spacing improvements
• Installing traffic separators

The proposed project is expected to improve safety, enhance mobility and accommodate current and future growth, and enhance the operation and safety of I-35 in this area. No displacements or right-of-way acquisitions are required.

Construction of the $10 million project is anticipated to begin in fall/winter 2014 and last about 12 months.
