Public Scoping Continues Until January 9, 2015

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) and Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) are preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a 240-mile high-speed rail project from Dallas to Houston proposed by the Texas Central High-Speed Railway, LLC (TCR)

At this stage in the development of the EIS, input is being sought from the public, and federal, state, and local agencies on the proposed alignment alternatives for the project.  This process, called scoping, consists of agency coordination/scoping meetings and public scoping meetings.

FRA and TxDOT welcome all comments from interested individuals, organizations, or businesses regarding alternative alignments and station locations, as well as any significant social, economic, or environmental impacts related to the Dallas to Houston High-Speed Rail project.

Public comments will be accepted throughout the EIS Process and those received by January 9, 2015 will be included in a scoping report.
