Open House - I-35 at Riverside Drive

Presentation: 6 p.m.
   
Purpose: The purpose of the meeting is to improve safety and mobility on I-35.
   
Description: Proposed improvements include:
  • Modify existing mainlanes to improve sight distance
  • Add collector-distributor lanes, (also known as frontage road bypass lanes), under the Riverside Drive bridge to improve intersection traffic flow
  • Replace bridge crossings at Riverside Drive and Woodland Avenue
  • Widen I-35 bridges over Lady Bird Lake to accommodate divided travel lanes and widened shoulders
  • Provide bicycle and pedestrian facilities along the frontage roads and Riverside Drive
