Connecticut, Maryland, and Rhode Island Stats on Funding for Hurricane Sandy

As of October 15, 2013, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has distributed more than $1.4 billion in Individual Assistance grants in Connecticut, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. More than $3.2 billion has been awarded to state, local and tribal governments, and more than $74 million in Hazard Mitigation grants.
In Connecticut:
As of October 24, 2015:
- 23.6M has been awarded for Debris Removal
- $1.6M for repairs to Roads and Bridges
- $495,000 for rehab of Public Buildings
As of October 30, 2013:
- More than $13.8 million for housing assistance
- More than $1.1 million for other needs assistance
- More than $249.5 million paid to flood insurance policy holders
As of December 4, 2013:
- 2,968 Individual Assistance Applications have been approved
- $15.1million has been approved to be paid in Individual & Households Program
In Maryland:
As of December 4, 2013:
- 732 Individual Assistance Applications have been approved
- $2.2Million has been approved to be paid in Individual & Households Program
As of October 24, 2013:
- $10M awarded for Debris Removal
- $500,000 for Road and Bridge repair
- $4M for rehab of Public Buildings
In Rhode Island:
As of October 24, 2013:
- $3.6M has been awarded for Debris Removal
- $138,421 for Road and Bridge repair
- $705,952 for rehab of Public Building
As of December 4, 2013:
- 105 Individual Assistance Applications have been approved
- $421,340 has been approved to be paid in Individual & Households Program
