GSA implements government-wide regulations that help agencies conduct business.

FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION

The Department of Defense (DoD), GSA, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) jointly issue the FAR for use by executive agencies in acquiring goods and services.

 

 

FEDERAL TRAVEL REGULATION

The FTR is the regulation contained in 41 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Chapters 300 through 304, which implements travel policies for travel by Federal civilian employees and others authorized to travel at government expense.

 

FEDERAL MANAGEMENT REGULATION

The FMR is the successor regulation to the Federal Property Management Regulation (FPMR). It contains updated regulatory policies originally found in the FPMR.  

GENERAL SERVICES ACQUISITION MANUAL

The GSAM consolidates GSA agency acquisition rules and guidance.  The GSAM incorporates the General Services Administration Acquisition Regulation (GSAR) as well as internal agency acquisition policy.

 
 

IMPROVING REGULATIONS

As called for by President Obama in Executive Order 13563, "to facilitate the periodic review of existing significant regulations," GSA finalized its plan to perform a retrospective review of existing significant regulations.

Regulations.gov is a multi-agency website where citizens can view and comment on federal regulations and other agency actions that affect their daily lives.
