Player Notes
Mike Trout blasted his 27th home run of the season in Sunday's season finale against the Rangers, but it wasn't enough to lead the Angels to victory.

Advice: Trout finished the afternoon 1-for-3 and also drew a walk. The 22-year-old superstar wraps up another MVP-caliber season, slashing .323/.432/.557 with 27 homers, 109 runs, 97 RBI and 33 stolen bases. He'll be one of the first two names called on draft day in virtually all fantasy drafts next season.

Mike Trout is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Angels.

Advice: Trout is sitting out the Angels' final home game of the season. The Angels are going with Kole Calhoun, Collin Cowgill, and J.B. Shuck in their outfield Wednesday.

Mike Trout's agent, Craig Landis, told Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times that there haven't been any talks with the Angels about a long-term deal.

Advice: "I'll answer one question on contract talks - there have been no discussions," said Landis. "Obviously, Mike's future is extremely bright. We'll be patient. Mike's a young guy. However it goes, he's going to make a lot of money and be a great player." There has been some speculation that there is some animosity between the two sides after the Angels took a hardline stance about his salary for 2013, but Trout can't go anywhere for a while. The 22-year-old will be arbitration-eligible for the first time after the 2014 season and is scheduled to hit free agency after 2017.
