Hancock Park Golf Course was established in 1945 as a nine hole course and was expanded to an 18 hole golf course in 1996. Hancock Park Golf Course is a municipal golf course which has a fully stocked pro shop. The course offers reasonably priced green fees and senior military discounts.

Hancock Park Golf Course is a unique 18-hole golf course located 60 miles northwest of Austin on Highway 183 in the Texas Hill Country. The course has beautiful native trees, and Sulphur creek winds through holes 11 of the 18 of the course. Measuring just 6,000 yards from the championship tees and par 72, the golf course is short but challenging.

Hancock Park Golf Course's most talked about hole is #2. It is a 355-yard, par 4 hole with Sulphur Creek bordering the left side, large native pecan trees on the right, and ending with a shallow island green. The hole provides a challenge for even the best golfers.
