Lampasas Animal Shelter
We are a joint effort between the city of Lampasas and Lampasas County. We are an open admission facility for all Lampasas residents. Due to the large number of animals we handle from Lampasas County alone, we are unable to accept animals from any other Counties. We are a "Kill" facility but our euthanasia rates are lower than most city owned facilities. We work with several rescues to move animals out of our facility if possible. We offer free animal surrenders to all Lampasas Residents to encourage owner's to bring the animals to us rather than dump them on roadsides. You can follow us on Facebook or our blog.

Adoption Process
All adopters must pass a brief adoption application. Our fees are $25 for dogs less than one year and $20 for all dogs over one year. Our Cats are $20 for all kittens under one year and $15 for Cats over one year. All Dogs are given DHPPC shots and dewormers and Cats recieve their FVRCP and dewormers according to their ages and time here. If the animals are not already spayed or neutered, the new owner will be given a time frame to have that do at their own expense. ALL ANIMALS LEAVING THIS FACILITY MUST BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED! Our Adoption Hours are Monday- Friday from 10am until 5pm and Saturday for 9am until 11:30.
Our Livestock animals adoption prices are per market value. All other animals are $20 (ferrets, hamsters, birds...etc)
