Need for Improvements
On August 9, 1988, a group of about 25 people met to discuss the need for improvements in Oak Hill Cemetery. A few weeks later they met and formed the Oak Hill Cemetery Association. This organization has been, and continues to be, instrumental in the upkeep and enhancement of Oak Hill Cemetery. Their efforts combined with the City of Lampasas have brought about many positive changes in the cemetery throughout the years.

Contributions to the Cemetery
One of the founders, Dr. Rush McMillin, and other members of the Oak Hill Cemetery Association dedicated a great deal of time and effort to the cemetery. Their research assisted many in the search of loved ones. This hard work still benefits cemetery staff and the general public today. Many of the trees one might see in the cemetery were planted and cared for by Dr. McMillin. His hard work and dedication, coupled with many volunteers, has contributed greatly to the appearance of Oak Hill.

Community Involvement
Oak Hill Cemetery Association maintains an active role as an advisory committee. Monthly meetings with cemetery staff are held to share ideas and plan for the future of Oak Hill Cemetery. The associations' involvement with the cemetery has brought many projects to completion. We value your input and new members are always welcome .We encourage you to become a part of the Oak Hill Cemetery Association.
