Debate over role of new Navy drones could send contractors back to the drawing board

Some of the Pentagon’s largest contractors have been vying for the $3 billion Unmanned Carrier-Launched Airborne Surveillance and Strike system for more than two years. But ongoing uncertainty about what the system is actually supposed to accomplish could require that they start over.
