Marie Ridley Pryn
Marie Ridley Pryn, a Ph.D. student and visiting scholar from Technical University of Denmark, will present on “The Challenges of Sustainable Transport Planning: Denmark Case Study” on Friday, April 3, from 10:00–11:00 a.m. in room 102 of the Gibb Gilchrist Building. Pryn is visiting the Texas A&M Transportation Institute (TTI) from March 2 to April 17 and then will return to Denmark.
Pryn is a doctoral student in the field of Sustainable Decision Support for Transport Infrastructure Assessment. She holds a master’s degree in Transport and Logistics and a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Since 2013, she has been working on the research project, National Sustainable Transport Planning (SUSTAIN), with others including TTI Research Engineer Joe Zietsman. Pryn first heard of TTI through her work with this project.
“Part of my studies are funded by this research project,” said Pryn. “Within this project we have three international partners and Joe is one of them. Some of Joe’s previous work is very similar to what we are doing now, so it was a great opportunity to come to TTI to gain knowledge and share experiences.”
