The California HealthCare Foundation works as a catalyst to fulfill the promise of better health care for all Californians. We support ideas and innovations that improve quality, increase efficiency, and lower the costs of care.
CHCF funds projects that are strategically aligned with its programs: Better Chronic Disease Care, Innovations for the Underserved, Market and Policy Monitor, Health Reform and Public Programs Initiative, and State Health Policy. Funded projects have relevance to California health care as outlined in the program descriptions and generally have implications beyond a single institution.
While unsolicited requests are accepted by the foundation, most of our grants are solicited or awarded through a competitive request for proposals.
Those who wish to submit an unsolicited request for funding can find instructions for submitting a letter of inquiry (LOI).
