Good Afternoon, TXDOT staff. I am a resident of San Angelo, TX, and it is my understanding in speaking with a local city official that TXDOT is responsible for maintaining our Loop 306 and some of the surrounding grassy sides and medians. Recently, those grassy areas were mowed, and it seems quite a large number of people have, in fact, "Messed with Texas." Is there any reason why these areas haven't had proper litter control up to this point to prevent such an eyesore? We're talking almost every square foot of grass covered in plastic bags, trash bags, buckets, mattresses (no kidding), and other debris. It goes on for miles *through* our otherwise beautiful city. I have inquired via our local government's facebook page about a possible consideration of a ban or fee for using plastic bags for the sake of prevention, since change begins with our citizens, but do you know when we might see better litter control/clean-up come our way? Thank you!
