The Laurel Public Works Department will be closed on Monday, January 19, 2015, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The Monday garbage route will run on Tuesday and the Tuesday route on Wednesday. The Wednesday commercial route will run on Thursday. We resume our regular schedule on Monday, January 26, 2015.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling SKLZ Recoil 360 All-Position Resistance Trainers. "A weld on a ring on the resistance trainer's belt can break during use and cause the resistance trainer's flexible cord to quickly and unexpectedly retract and hit an exercise partner who is holding the other end," the CPSC said.
