An Applebee's restaurant in Greenacres reopened Thursday after a remodel.

New features at the eatery at 6706 Forest Hill Blvd. include a renovated entrance with new stone work, added booths, fresh paint and new signage.

There's also new decorations in the 4,882-square-foot eatery that feature photos from Palm Beach county's local high schools, universities, sports teams and community groups. Staff also will be retrained, the company said in a news release.

The store closed from Dec. 1 to Dec. 4 for the construction.

The restaurant is operated by Doherty Enterprises, which owns 12 stores in Palm Beach county.
