Do you have any fantasy, imaginary businesses? I sure do. There was a postal store on a busy block of my neighborhood and one day a truck crashed through the widow. Luckily no one was hurt, but the postal store owner took the insurance money and closed down and the storefront has remained vacant since. It's a great piece of real estate on a busy block, next to the subway and a gym. Every time I pass I think of the imaginary business I would start in that space. Combo doggie day care/writer's space? Artisanal sandwich store with boozy milkshakes?
The possibilities are endless, at least in my head. And that's the challenge we face this month, trying to imagine and research all the possibilities and then settle on the most potentially profitable one. Read More...
