North Texas ushered in a new era of Mean Green volleyball in 2013 as the team completed its inaugural season in Conference USA and its first year under head coach Andrew Palileo. Palileo, former Pac-12 Coach of the Year, led the Mean Green to a 8-6 conference record and 17-15 overall record after leaving Ohio State for the North Texas head coaching job. Several Mean Green athletes were recognized this season for their performances on the court. Sophomore Carnae Dillard and senior Karissa Flack were named to the all-conference first and second teams, respectively.

Quick Hits On North Texas

North Texas entered its first year as a member of Conference USA and showed that the Mean Green belonged to be there with two second-place team finishes and a bowl invitation. Individually, 50 Mean Green student-athletes were named all-conference during the 2013-14 school year, four Mean Green athletes received specialty conference awards, and a track athlete was named an All-American.
