iTunes U

iTunes U offers an instructor a location to store Podcast and Vodcast for students to download to their MP3 Players or view using a PC/MAC.  A podcast can be created for supplemental materials for the course or a lecture can be uploaded for students to review.  It is also a way to provide informational content on various topics pertaining to university activities.  It provides one more way to get information to students in a way they like.

Getting Started

  1. Go to the UNT on iTunes U website (https://itunes.unt.edu/) to download university content and to download the latest version of iTunes if needed.  The iTunes download link will automatically take the user to the correct version (mac/pc). Once you are there, select Download Now
  2. A faculty member may request a course site for posting content by going to https://itunes.unt.edu/. Once there, select Post Your Content and then choose Request iTunes U course.
  3. After downloading iTunes and requesting a course site, be sure to review content creation guidelines and training materials provided on the University of North Texas iTunes U website. Tutorials for creating and publishing podcasts on both PC and Mac platforms are available as podcasts and as PDF files. See below for a complete list.
