US 59 South / Loop 224

This project is dedicated to improving mobility and safety from south of Spradley Street on United States Highway (US) 59 south of Nacogdoches to the intersection of State Highway (SH) 7 West and Loop (LP) 224. The project involves two phases.

Project Status

The project as planned is on hold indefinitely due to budgetary reasons. An interim plan to reconfigure the existing intersection has received funding. Construction is scheduled to begin in fall 2014.
