TxDOT’s main goals are to maintain a safe system, address congestion and connect Texas communities. All three goals are met with the $3.35 million effort to build a bridge over Loop 1604 on the northwest side of San Antonio, connecting Vance Jackson Road with its northern-most segment passing through The Rim.

When construction is finished, drivers will be able to continuously drive on Vance Jackson from The Rim to downtown San Antonio.

The bridge, being built by Austin Bridge Company, is expected to be finished by the end of summer 2013.
