Due to current and projected congestion levels as well as the corresponding safety issues associated with congestion and the high volume of trucks, it is necessary to expand Loop 1604 from Lower Seguin Rd. to IH-10 East.

Proposed Improvements

The purpose of the project is to improve mobility and safety. Proposed improvements include the following:

• Expand roadway from 2 lanes to 4
• Divide roadway with a grass median
• Construct turnarounds lanes
• Construct turn lanes
• Install traffic signals
• Replace bridges over Salitrillo Creek
