The Texas Department of Transportation is proposing reversing ramps and other operational improvements to I-35 between FM 306 and Kohlenberg Road/Conrad Road in Comal County.

As traffic along I-35 continues to grow, low-cost operational improvements will help address congestion at heavily traveled intersections such as I-35 at FM 306.

These improvements will also improve mobility and enhance the operation and safety of I-35 in this area.

The proposed project includes:

• Adding left turn lanes at the frontage road intersections of I-35 and FM 306
• An additional westbound lane on FM 306 through the intersection with I-35
• Reversing entrance and exit ramps on I-35 between FM 306 and Kohlenberg Road/Conrads Road
  

Construction of the $4.3 million project is anticipated to begin in fall 2014 and last about 12 months.
