Each year, TTI conducts around 300 different research projects for over 70 different public and private entities in all modes. TTI’s cooperative relationship with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), formalized in 1949, has been key to the success and real-world applicability of the TTI research program, the bulk of which is sponsored by TxDOT. Since the inception of the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) over 40 years ago, TTI has successfully led over 70 NCHRP projects, more than any other participant in the program.
