State-of-the-art laboratories and an extensive array of equipment support TTI's materials and pavements research. The Materials Laboratory has American Association of State Highway and transportation Officials (AASHTO) Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) accreditation and contains an extensive Strategic HIghway Research Program (SHRP) binder and mixture laboratory. Researchers also utilize the Wisenbaker Engineering Research Center (WERC), which contains a large structural test laboratory, several machine/electronic shops, and general purpose labs.
