Whats New

bullet Changes to the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act went into effect January, 2014. You must comply with the new standards if you introduce into commerce any pipe or plumbing product providing water for human consumption or are engaged in the installation or repair of any plumbing providing water for human consumption. For more information, review EPA's:

bullet New Stormwater Rules for Newly Developed and Redeveloped Sites. EPA has initiated a national rulemaking to establish a program to reduce stormwater discharges from newly developed and redeveloped sites and make other regulatory improvements to strengthen its stormwater program.

bullet EPA launches new web resources: Lead-Safe Certification Program Renovation Firms. Renovators can apply online for firm certification. This new feature will reduce processing time and errors. More information.

bullet New Federal Rule Establishes Requirements During Renovation, Repair and Painting Activities that Disturb Lead-Based Paint - April 22, 2010 Compliance Date
The covered facilities include residential, public or commercial buildings where children under age six are present on a regular basis as well as all rental housing. The rule applies to renovation, repair or painting activities. More Information ...
