The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is the newspaper of choice in Fort Worth, Texas and surrounding Tarrant County area, which comprises the western portion of the Dallas/Fort Worth/Arlington Metroplex.
The Kindle edition of this Pulitzer Prize-winning newspaper provides most articles found in the daily print and online edition, but will not include all images and tables. Also, some features such as the crossword puzzles, box scores and classifieds are not yet available. Issues of the Star-Telegram are automatically delivered wirelessly to your Kindle starting at 3:30 AM Fort Worth local time.
I am a former subscriber of the print edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, but I had recently canceled due to delivery inconsistencies. I liked the content of the paper, but they just couldn't get it to me before I left for work in the morning. When I saw that it was available for the Kindle, I thought that I had solved my problem by taking the delivery person out of the equation. However, it didn't work out as I had hoped.
The Sports section was my primary reason for reading a newspaper, but the Kindle edition is only a shell of what you get in print. In addition to no box scores readers will also be lacking the basic score information for the previous day for any game that does not have a story associated with it. Also the standings for the major leagues are nowhere to be found either. The columns are the same, and the local coverage of the Cowboys, Mavericks, etc. is sufficient. However I don't want to have to go elsewhere to finish off my sports fix. If that's the case, I'll get the national perspective from ESPN or some other source.
The other issue I found that made me crazy was the organization of stories. For the 1/24 Sunday edition, there was no Life & Arts section; however, I did find a story that should have been under this label under the National category. This was not a onetime thing either as one of the weekday editions had a Jay Leno/Tonight Show story under the National category.
For these reasons, the Kindle edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram does not work for me. Unless you want just articles with a sometimes unintuitive organization, pass on this one.

I guess that the first reviewer is correct: that for one dollar more per month you may access all of the Star-Telegram on the computer.
However, I look at it a little bit differently. When I am traveling, with my Kindle, it is very nice to be able to read the Kindle edition of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, whether you are in an airplane, or sitting on a porch overlooking a lake.
True, no classified ads, cartoons or coupons, but it appears to have most of the written content. Mind, it IS the Star-Telegram, so it is not like the newspaper suddenly improves in quality simply due to being on a Kindle. However, I like to read many of the opinion articles, and they even have letters to the editor and the `jeers and cheers'.
Due to frequently traveling I was often unable to read the Star-Telegram. Now, with the Kindle edition, I may do so. I am even contemplating cancelling the paper edition and going solely with the Kindle edition.
My biggest difficulty has been in deciding how many `stars' to award the Kindle edition of the Star-Telegram. For the paper edition I would give `three' stars. I guess due to the convenience of having it on the Kindle, I will give it another star, hence four.
