The fiancee of Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan has landed a book deal.

The announcement of the deal comes a day after Duncan's family settled with Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas for an undisclosed amount of money.

Louise Troh's memoir is scheduled for April and will be published jointly by The Weinstein Co. and The Perseus Book Group. The book is untitled.

A press release announcing the book describes it as "an exclusive in-depth account of Louise Troh's long journey from Liberia to America and the decades-long love story that was stopped short by a deadly epidemic."

Duncan, 42, went to Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas on Sept. 25, but was sent home with antibiotics even though he told staff there that he had traveled from Africa. He later returned by ambulance and became the first person diagnosed with Ebola virus disease in the United States on Sept. 28.

Duncan died of the disease on Oct. 8 and remains the only Ebola patient in the United States to die. Hospital administrators have acknowledged that Duncan should not have initially been sent home.

Troh was not part of the settlement that Duncan's family reached with the hospital.
