Mall employee petitions against Thanksgiving hours

Unhappy with the idea of working on Thanksgiving, an employee who works at a La Crosse mall does not want Thanksgiving shopping to happen.

Sam Noel collected 250 signatures on a petition that asks Valley View Mall management to nix the idea of opening at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving day, which is two hours prior to when the mall opened last year. Mall management is requiring the stores to be open by midnight.
