AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — A Central Texas man has been accused of leaving a cellphone under a stall to secretly record videos of women using an outdoor public restroom.
Travis County jail online records show 24-year-old Ryan Alan Lamberth was no longer in custody Thursday. Austin police on Wednesday arrested Lamberth on charges of improper photography, with bond set at $10,000.
Lamberth allegedly used a cellphone last year to record images of women in the bathroom stall near a hike and bicycle trail. A woman noticed the phone and confronted Lamberth, who was nearby but fled. She gave the cellphone to Austin police.
Authorities are seeking as many as 10 other women believed to have been recorded in August and September 2013.
Online jail records don’t list attorney information for Lamberth.
