Federal Judge Rules Gay Marriage Ban In SC Is Unconstitutional

The ban on same-sex marriage will be lifted in South Carolina on November 20, 2014.

Earlier today, Judge Richard Gergel issued a ruling in the federal case of a lesbian couple who tried to obtain a marriage license in Charleston, South Carolina.

The judge has ruled that the ban on gay marriage in South Carolina is unconstitutional.

The ban will officially be lifted on November 20, 2014.

In North Carolina, gay marriage has been legal since October 10, 2014.
