Earlier this week, we heard Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders cover the Beatles’ iconic 1970 single, “Let it Be.” The track was taken from the upcoming Paul McCartney tribute album, The Art of McCartney, which is set for release on November 18.

Today, another track from The Art of McCartney has been revealed, and this time it’s singer-songwriter legend Billy Joel taking on “Maybe I’m Amazed,” the song which originally appeared on Paul McCartney’s 1970 solo debut, simply entitled McCartney. Joel stays true to the live Wings version, compete  with a fiery guitar solo. Listen to it above.

The song became a staple in Paul McCartney and Wings’ concerts on that band’s 1976 American tour, and was later released as a single from the Wings’ live album, Wings Over America, released towards the end of 1976.

Other artists contributing versions of Macca classics on The Art of McCartney include Cheap Trick, B.B. King, Barry Gibb and Brian Wilson.
