Excellent! I have been meaning to stop in here ever since the blizzard of '09. It took 5 years, but i made it in tonight. The wait was well worth it! I truly should have come in much sooner. I shared this evening with my best friend, and to start we had two hummus plates (lamb and lemon) and Baba Ghanouj. For the entree i had the charcoal chicken. It was partially left on the bone on a wonderful bed of rice that almost melted in my mouth. To drink i had a pomegranate martini. If they could make a swizzle stick in to a drink, this would be it. Very good. My best friend had the NY Strip, which he seemed to enjoy, and a two glasses of Riesling, which he also seemed to enjoy. For dessert, we had the Bird's Nest and the Namoura. Both light, flaky and sweet. The service was perfect. Our server was attentive with out being overly so. Our water glasses never got empty. He suggested plates with knowledge that came from experience and personal taste. He was also understanding at our attempts to pronounce the plates.. That's half the fun though. The environment is one of dimly light lights and sounds of splashing water. The dinning room on this Saturday night was loud and excitable with conversations turning into laughter. There was definitely a great energy in the room. Overall, i would totally recommend Mama's to anyone. Just bring your appetite.
