NORTH TEXAS (1080 KRLD) – This weekend in North Texas, you can attend Memorial Day celebrations,a Margarita Meltdown, and a Super Freestyle Explosion. Tasha has the details in your KRLD To Do List.
The Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial runs through Sunday, May 25th at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth. Be sure to check out the free concert tonight, tomorrow and Saturday night at Frost Park just west of University Drive.
The Hilton Anatole Food, Wine & Jazz Festival is happening Friday May 23rd. Celebrate this Memorial Day weekend with live music from Jazz trio, Fingerprints, and Jazz pianist, Scott Bucklin, as well as a variety of domestic and international wines and gourmet food from the Anatole’s chefs.
This Sunday May 25th, you can see Texas native Steve Miller with Journey at Gexa pavilion in Dallas.
See Jimmie Vaughan (Stevie Ray’s brother) Saturday night May 24th at Levitt Pavilion in Arlington. This Grammy-winning blues guitar legend will rock your socks off. And then some.
The Dallas Margarita Meltdown 2014 is set for this coming Sunday may 25th in the Bishop Arts District. This competition between some of the best restaurants and bars in the Dallas area will involve over 30 restaurants concocting their finest margaritas for you to sample. Then you will have the task of voting for your favorite.
It is time again to head to Ennis for the 48th Annual National Polka Festival this weekend May 23-25. Celebrate Ennis’ Czech heritage with polka dancing downtown and at 3 Czech halls, food, arts and crafts, and parade.
2014 Uptown Ciclovia is set for Monday May 26th at Klyde Warren Park in Dallas. This free event will involve running, biking, and roller skating.
The Backwoods Paddle Party at Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth is set for this Sunday May 25. They’ll have music, food, beer and free stuff to satisfy your inner moocher.

Spend Memorial Day at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie Monday May 26th. They’ll have face painting, bounce houses and a petting zoo for the kids. Members of any branch of the military receive free general admission with a valid military I.D.
Granbury’s Veteran’s Celebration is happening Saturday May 24th in historic downtown Granbury.
The Rockwall Memorial Day Concert is set for this coming Sunday evening May 25that The Harbor at Lake Ray Hubbard. American Idol/Rockwall recording star Jason Castro & the 22-piece U.S. Air National Guard Band of the Southwest will headline the first annual Rockwall Memorial Day concert.
